Why is GlassWire a subscription?

GlassWire is an ad-free and tracking-free app, so we rely on our customers to fund our work (please check our privacy policy for details). We are grateful to supporters who purchase our software and allow us to keep working on this project!

Some other types of software charge "upgrade fees" between versions of their apps. If you purchase that type of software they usually say their software is a one-time fee, but unfortunately they almost always charge for upgrades and these upgrades can be more costly than subscriptions. With GlassWire we sell a yearly subscription so you can continue to get free feature upgrades all the time as we update our software. As long as you are a GlassWIre subscriber you will never get an upgrade fee, or be unable to download a GlassWire upgrade.

My activation code stopped working, or won't activate, how can I fix it?

Please go back to our contact page and email us your activation code so we can help you fix it. If you use an application like Kaspersky that disables https connections please disable their software temporarily while you activate. Or if GlassWire is blocking itself please let GlassWire unblock itself so it can activate.

What if I don't want to get charged again?

You can avoid being rebilled by going to your order email and canceling your subscription. For Android, go to the Google Play app then tap the top left menu and choose "subscriptions" to manage our free trial or yearly subscription. Or, contact our billing company Cleverbridge https://www.cleverbridge.com/corporate/contact-us/ if you lost that order email and they can cancel the subscription for you.

Are GlassWire Android and Desktop serials compatible?

Unfortunately no. Google requires we use the Google Play API for sales, so we've made our Android app only cost a few cents per month, or a few dollars a year. Our desktop app and our Android apps use completely different payment systems.

How do I cancel my desktop or Android subscription?

For our desktop software you can find your order email then press the "cancel" button inside that email. Or, contact our billing company Cleverbridge https://www.cleverbridge.com/corporate/contact-us/ if you lost that order email and they can cancel the subscription for you. For Android, go to the Google Play app then tap the top left menu and choose "subscriptions" to manage.

What happens when my subscription ends if I don't get rebilled?

GlassWire will warn you your subscription is about to end. Then GlassWire will revert to its free version with limited features.

Can I buy GlassWire as a one time fee or "lifetime"?

We have not ever sold any "lifetime" codes or used that term on our website. When we first launched GlassWire we sold one-time fee codes that are more expensive that our subscriptions, but we stopped doing that in 2017. We no longer sell these types of codes and we will never sell them again because it's unfair to our subscribers.

Can I try GlassWire for free?

Yes. GlassWire has a free 7 day trial when downloaded from our website.
